This weekend in Bakersfield the radio has been flooded with advertisements for cheap computers, car stereos, tablet and Cell phones.  The company that took out the ads is Emergency Liquidation Center.  The ads I heard failed to mention the $5 entry fee which was the first red flag.

Disability Insurance Games

Here is the link to another blog I created about my denial of disability insurance benefits from California Law Enforcement Association.  It is fairly detailed as I hope some of the 10,000 police officers and firemen who are covered under their policies read it and seek coverage with a company that will protect them.

It is a review of long term disability insurance and the pitfalls consumers will encounter when filing a claim.  The current state of the law protects these providers and gives us limit recourse even when they deny a claim they know should be covered.  I cover it all in detail here:

Craigslist Scams

I buy and sale a lot of items of Craigslist.  Mostly items I don’t want to sale on eBay because the size of the item makes shipping expensive.

But I am amazed at how often I am contacted by buyers who try to get me to fall for scams that have been around for more than a decade.  Despite the warnings, obviously people are still falling for it so I will outline a few here so hopefully you wont fall victim to these scams.
